  1. Turret came out unexpectedly clear and sharp. What did you use as a release agent ?
  2. It was just a bad day. I was breaking off details as the thing has become increasingly difficult to manipulate on my relatively shallow bench. I decided to call Carl for a therapy session and he was able to save the day with some positive attitude. Or just being a friend. Good friends are everything.
  3. I’m so tired of this model. Literally 3 second from binning it.
  4. Nicely built, this is not the easiest model and you made it shine, well done Cheers Martin
  5. Me likey, very inspiring work Carl, I should build a 190 for a change as well :)
  6. Instructions are not always right. To answer your question directly, Model Master metallic lacquers are my favourite. But. I would never leave metallic colour in its slap-on form, Wet-wash it with dark brown or dry-brush it with graphite powder.
  7. The fine detail is starting to show.
  8. Looking really good. Puzzle like :) Cheers Martin
  9. Steering horn and knuckle are two different names for the same thing. Impressive work Doc. , I can only drool over the quality and detail.\ Cheers Martin
  10. We are our own worst critics. I think it looks splendid. Very believable. There was not much left when the only known picture of white 6 was taken anyway. :) She's a beaut.
  11. And modern days Marines, doing the same thing, before attaching the cargo. EDIT: bumped into this flyer from thirties. Allied planes were using them, no white stripping though :)
  12. Here is a crew man attaching ground wire during refuelling.
  13. Beautiful result as always. Thanks for sharing. The white wall tire indicated that it was grounded. All propeller driven aeroplanes are emitting quite significant static discharge, so there are ways how to deal with it.. One was conductive rubber compound.
  14. Nice, clean work Gary , but we need more pictures .... please :) Cheers Martin
  15. Sweet , thank you Paul.
  16. this just crossed my mind, randomly :)
  17. Nice! Just the Soviet one is missing to have a complete pack. :) Cheers Martin
  18. This one deserves some detail shots in order to appreciate the amount of work you put into it Kevin.
