May 18May 18 I haven't been a very prolific modeller in the past 2-3 years. I've dropped two builds close to completion and deemed irreparable... Never-finished a few others. And gotten bogged down in projects where I had to stop because I couldn't make a part look factory.This is my most recent completion. Inspired again by a photo... and my first attempt at winter weathering on an a/c.
May 18May 18 Nice. I've been meaning to pick up one of these boxings, but I am hoping they release the B/Metal Wing variant, so I can build Galland's Hs123.

Around the wheel tracks, aka the ploughed-up snow was plaster of Paris with a bit of baking soda in it to make it crumbly laid over thinned PVA glue. On top of that was The Army Painter Battlefield snow. Some light grays were then airbrushed to try to give certain areas depth... and finally pure white dry brushed over raised areas. I never liked the way it looked while I was doing it, but in the photos, it has grown on me.
