Got this today............

From Copper State Models, their Mgebrov-R Armoured Car (CSM 35012) in 1/35.

Looking like an armored Triumph TR-7 (remember those?). This armored wedge was

a WW 1 Russian armored car.

I also picked up a Dspiae ST-L Photo-Etching Folding Pliers and some carbon fibre

sanding sticks also from Dspiae.

Hope they didn't rust like TR7s or you'll be putting holes through them with a pea shooter!

With he randomness of different modelling supplies getting banned here in Canada (the latest is Tamiya X-20A thinner because the cap isn't child-proof) I thought it best to stock up on a couple just in case. I also picked up some more paint

PXL_20260723_204711589.jpg

My LHS had a new chrome paint in from Greenstuff World. One is airbrush ready and the other is for brush use.

PXL_20260723_204830023.jpg

Some AK thinner and varnish plus a bottle of CA accelerator.

PXL_20260723_204758739.jpg

The big Fiat Abarth I've been building comes with PE carpets which aren't the easiest to use so I picked up some made by Zoom Models along with some other detail sets.

PXL_20260723_204944749.jpg

Lastly a few things for the Whisky and Zulu Cobras I recently picked up.

PXL_20260723_205011088.jpg

Oh and a Tamiya Leopard 2A6 for $32 CAD. Just couldn't resist at that price.

Got this today..........

From Retrol/Okmo it's their M12B engine.

It's a four stroke, OHV, water cooled, 1.6cc, fully functioning, scaled

down IC engine. Bore is 13mm and stroke 12mm. A neat little item.😀 And it runs GREAT !

Cool!

Got one of the big Tamiya Corsairs.....their F4U-1D in 1/32 (60327)

PhotoPictureResizer_260807_151854165.jpg

Also a Tamiya T 34/85 With Assault Infantry Set. .....it was cheap on EBAY.

IMG_20260807_154023.jpg

I also got a set of Friulmodel Tracks and a barrel from Aber but I'm not sure I'm going

to use them on this kit. the 1987 kit is showing its age🙄

IMG_20260807_153629.jpg

The Aber Barrel.

I have seen a lot of nice builds on this forum of the big Tamiya Corsairs and I thought

that I'd like to build one someday.

As I'm sure you already know, I've built a bunch of them from the -1 to the -1D and enjoyed each and every one. You too will enjoy building that -1D! Really nice model(s). 😃

Yes John, your builds inspired my purchase😀 I poured over the instructions

That I got from scalemates ....looks like an amazing kit. I only hope I'll get a chance

to build it as I have not many opportunities to get to the bench. It amazes me how quickly you build... Always .with impressive results. It's funny, my building

history, until my recent return to modelling, was primarily aircraft....now it's mostly

armor. I have a few of the Tamiya 1/32 kits....all look impressive. I hope Tamiya offers

some more 1/32 Aircraft kits in the future😀

I too wish Tamiya would release more 1/32 WW II a/c but, unfortunately, it looks like they have gotten away from that. In my opinion, such as it is, they are "missing the boat". I'd love to see them continue the Corsair line with a F4U-4 to start. The Trumpeter version unfortunately just doesn't "cut the mustard".

I'm certain you will enjoy the -1D build when you get to it. 😀

Here's a tip for you Paul. Usually the wing spars are difficult to slide all the way into the outer wings. My solution has been to trim them down some with my Dremel. Makes it a lot easier. You can also put a touch of petroleum jelly on the ends if they are still a bit balky. 😀

I've got the big Italeri Vosper MTB kit in the stash. I started it but realized that it really needed a crew. I recently found a set of 3D printed ones on eBay. The seller then had a special so I went and ordered them. They arrived today and they look great.

That´s a nice looking bunch Carl. I also own the Vosper kit and with some difficulty found a decent crew from different sources, many years ago. That was before the printing era.

Cheers Rob

The advent of 3D printed figures has been a real game changer. The greater variety of subjects is such an improvement.

I'm still waiting for some suitable hours for the Gecko PACV hovercraft to show up.

This was delivered while I was at NATS. While standing in line at the Squadron check out, the fellow ahead of me was buying a P-51 kit and was told about the missing pieces and handed a little plastic bag with the missing parts. I asked if that included the kit that was delivered to my home the day before by UPS. It was confirmed and I was given the parts too.

Goodies from NATS. I'm sure you'll think that I got a little carried away at the Z-M booth.

NATS stuff.

I decided to purchase another P-51 and a 109K-4. The P-51 was 15% off.

Wow, that's quite the haul. How do you carry all that around the show? My arms would have fallen off. 😆

Well, I've been getting a room at the show hotel, so it's easy to take things to the room and then go back. It wasn't all purchased at one time. It was spread over several days.

@David Enders , can I ask where you got the Wingleader book from?

It was at one of the vendor tables. I suspect he is someone who buys collections. There were 8-10 Wingleader books. That is where I picked up the AIMS decal sheet too.

Huge difference in the new tail section there. The other bits look impressive too

I just received this beauty. Likely my next build.

@JohnB593 John, did you pre-order from Squadron? Did you see that there were some 3D printed parts that were left out? Inner wheel parts. If you bought from Squadron, you should have received an email related to the missing parts and them being shipped to you. They were, IIRC, part numbers R3 (2 pieces), R4, and R5. I also saw something from Sprue about the parts too.
