July 19Jul 19 I'm wondering if anyone has a conversion set for this a/c. All that would be needed is a canopy/windscreen and a upper rear fuselage piece. In a pinch I suppose I can scratch it but if I can find a conversion set that would be a big help. My "plan" at this time is to use a Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1D as a basis. (Should be easier than the F2G conversion I just finished! 😄 I hope!)

July 21Jul 21 years ago I was tinkering with the idea of building XP-40Q around this canopy and the only way at the time was to cannibalize Trumpeter kit of to make a brand new custom mold. At the time I didn’t have vacuum forming machine and skills that I have today. I might re-think
July 21Jul 21 Author Since the real a/c had a P-47 canopy/windscreen I'm going to go through my boxes of leftovers and see if I have one. I used the only one I knew I had on the F2G build but if can scrounge up another one that might work. The biggest hurdle, I think, would be adapting the P-47 windscreen to the Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair.
