A couple of years ago i splashed out on a Badger Renegade Krome airbrush . Its not the best but i only use it with an ultra fine needle for detail work and for that its been fine..

The problem has always been , getting parts. i decided to try and get a fine and std needle set for it but no where in the UK seems to carry parts anymore and so i have decided to junk it and buy something with a readily available parts list in the UK. Coincidentally i bought this Badger as i was having the same problem getting parts for my previous Paasche .

I am thinking a European product might be a better bet

Any thoughts.

My wife gifted me for my birthday an H&S 2024 Evolution with the 0.25m setup. I really like it and have used it down to 10 psi. H&S does have a 0.15mm setup but you have to purchase it separately.

on the Badger, I’ve seen an airbrush supplier mentioned in the UK but ATM I can’t remember the name. If you do FB there’s a group, Airbrush for beginners. Advice from Pros., that I follow. I’m sure someone there can help with where to get parts.

H&S Infinity is my go to airbrush. I have two, with 0,15 mm, 0,2mm and 0,4mm needle/nozzles. I use them for everything since they substituted my old and still liked Rotring airbrushes many years ago. One of the Infinity´s is the Giraldez edition, which is refined around the collet area, has a different trigger with better response and a different layout. It´s perfect for very fine work and has three different guide tabs for the nose area, to find your spot better when working fine, like on figures. They claim, that the larger color tub doesn´t fit, but that is not true. It sits close to the trigger, but I have no probs with it. Wiht the 0,4mm needle, I use i tfor car body painting and clears. Except cleaning thoroughly, I had no further maintenence or technical probs wiht these.

I'd put in another recommendation for the H&S airbrushes. I have an older Evolution which I use for primers and clear coats and an Infinity which is my main brush. It has the 0.2mm and 0.4mm needles and performs beautifully. It's also easy to break down and clean

I like my H&S and Iwata airbrushes and would recommend them to anyone. I used my H&S Infinity 2024 painting camouflage on a little H39 tank recently and found it very

controllable and easy to use. I have their Giraldez brushes, the original and the updated Giraldez Mk II. I tested those out on a resin

figure lately and was very pleased. It has always been easy for me to find parts for my Iwata airbrushes. I have a couple that are

over 20 years old and I was able to completely rebuild them.....Still going strong. I particularly like my Iwata Hi-line HP-BH with its .2 mm

needle......very smooth trigger. Nice. One trend that bothers me is these cheap Chinese airbrushes. With some model kits costing well

over $100. Why would anyone buy a cheap tool to build them with? Well, that's my opinion anyway. Buy something that you know will last. From a respected brand that

has good service and parts availability.

@Paddy Okay, I'm at the IPMS-USA Nats, I've now had some time to look through airbrushing groups on FB. Are you familiar with Barwell Bodyworks? My impression is that they are a Badger dealer in the UK.

Hi David, Barwells shut in march this year apparently. I really think as a badger user i am done here in the UK . What really annoys me is a lot of shops still have new airbrushes in stock but no spares. What they don't tell you when they sell you their old stock brushes is you cant get any parts anymore.

Looks like i can get an infinity 2024 CRplus 2in1 with .25 and .44 needles etc and 3 cups for £209.00 which seems reasonable, free delivery from Graphic air over here ..Thanks to everyone for the pointers :-)

Graphic Air are reliable and very easy to deal with Paddy, good choice.
