I am sure the dry ground didn't help but there really is no excuse these days for grass strip with those sorts of undulations. Way cheaper to scrape the strip than rebuild the aircraft.

I think you placed the last post in the wrong thread, Paddy …

For tensioning monofilament, I use an incandescent toothpick. Largely enough to tension the chosen wire without endangerîng the nearby ones. The flimsy structure of the kit reflects the scale-accuracy of WnW kits … But it also shows that using monofilament is necessary for the integrity of these kits. It’s prefrebale to have an inaccurate round monofilament than an accurate, but structurally useless, flat elastic wire like Prym, IMHO. Although I have found some flat monofilament, but it probably still too large for WWI kits (but not for a Stringbag, for instance)

Absolutely Hubert, apologies for that, having 2 threads going is overly complicated for my old brain 🤣, now i will start a 3rd with the finished pictures, thanks for your comments and intrest.
