May 3May 3 This build really was a looong journey. Most time went into researching the Rolls Royce Peregrine engines. Not much is known in terms of reference. Lots of help came from Gunnar Olsen who provided knowledge almost every step of the way. Making the flaps drop was another huge challenge. I opened the radio compartment, which in turn was a project in itself. And so on. No decals used. Lots of 3d designed and printed parts. Right down to the Norton bike, which is so delicate it printed about 20 of them and managed to fudge up 19. Also 3d designed the gun camera pod, with open hatch to expose the camera itself. The base contains a photo of the pilot that flew this specific plane: Leonard Bartlett.
