May 14May 14 This is my in progress build. I started painting the green blotches this morning using a mix of craft paint. The kit instruction are being used as a guide because it's a pretty good match to photos of the real plane. Gary S. Edited May 14May 14 by centaur567
May 14May 14 Nice start with the camo. I built a Tamiya one some years ago and used decals for the blotches, lazy me. Worked ok, but I think, yours look better.Cheers Rob
May 14May 14 That's looking good! I found out doing a 1/72 twin engine bomber doing a hand paint like this once start keep going mood changes later and so does the pattern,😉
May 15May 15 Author Thanks!! This morning, the left side of the fuselage was finished and got half way thru the right side. Then it was time for coffee on the back porch because my eyes started to cross. Gary S.
May 15May 15 Great camo work. While looking at it, I had the idea of some ground crew members are working on the camo. Would spare you the rest of the blotches, but add figure painting.Cheers Rob
May 16May 16 Author Yesterday, the fuselage was finished and this morning got started on the left wing. Gary S.
May 17May 17 Author More progress on the Tony, before it was time for coffee on the back porch this morning.Gary S.
May 21May 21 Author The camo is finished and flat coated. At the same time I'm also working on Revell's 1/48th A6M5 Zero and it was also flat coated. The mask were removed and props installed. A little touch is needed. Gary S.
