A rare standalone project with no base, this was one of those "build a model from a picture" ideas.

I have to remember that about the tailwheel did they all have the the white band and never notice?Post the pick Gary kinda remember this one over at LSP methinks?

The white wall tire indicated that it was grounded. All propeller driven aeroplanes are emitting quite significant static discharge, so there are ways how to deal with it.. One was conductive rubber compound.

I just assumed it was a whitewall tire. Thanks for the info.

Here is a crew man attaching ground wire during refuelling.

And modern days Marines, doing the same thing, before attaching the cargo.

EDIT: bumped into this flyer from thirties. Allied planes were using them, no white stripping though :)
