I think I’ve built most of the available 1/24 scale ww2 aircraft so it’s on to my next wood ship model. My first was the Cutty Sark in 1/96 scale. It was a constructo kit and was way out of scale. My wife says I built every component 3 times to get it right. I ended up getting plans from the Cutty sark museum to scale it out. Almost every part was scratch made, the sails, the railings, the deck cabins, water barrels, ships boats and oars, winches from washers and brass pipes. Next will be the USS Constitution. I’ll start with a mamoli kit and add a lot of scratch built components to scale ut and make it accurate. Fun around the bend for sure!!!
