Today, I finished the gearbox and rear suspension sub assemblies, but still need to touch up some blemishes. I have to remember, how I repaired smaller issues with the carbon fiber decals, my working method is gone with the old forum, but I think, it was touching up with a weathering pencil or a normal soft pencil. The construction around the suspension was delicate, to say the least. You always have to think about a working sequence, to get all these axles, arms and supports together in one go, without knocking off some coolers or others. The brake discs were sprayed with Zero Paints carbon fiber paint, which looks convincing in 1/12 scale. The rear wing support was a nightmare to build and I don´t know why, because while test fitting everything sat perfectly. I had to reglue parts, because the fit was poor now and the structural integrity was not given. When I had to build this again, I might cut the short cast pins and substitute them with brass rods, which hold the inner and outer (not yet installed) wing parts. Another mock up with engine and transmission: Cheers Rob
