Porsche 917K - Fujimi - 1/24

Hehe, other than you, I haven´t build any red cars at all. I´m more over-whited, after the Brabham BT45 and 52b. In between there was the black Lotus 72D, so red is the color to go for me .
Your black Fiat is a looker, I love the cut-away idea.

I hear what you say about that french Blue however to my surprise it looks better in the flesh and does break up the sea of Italian red Ferrari's, Alfa's ,Fiats and Ducatis on the shelf my last italian i did in gloss black as a cutaway just because i couldn't face another red build 🤣.

As a "time filler" until my next Eduard P-51B delivers (Thursday) I've been working on this kit. I rarely build armor but figured this would be a good time to work on this one. I'll set it aside when the '51 shows up and work on it more from time to time.

Thank you Paddy, I´m always a relatively slow builder, no matter what kind of kit. I got into hyperspeed only with challenges, which normal plastic kits seldom have for me. I never liked the pure plastic snipping and building phase and since I started with wooden sailing boats and MFH kits, I feel, I enjoy the building phase much more due to having to handle different materials and pemanent little trying tasks.
I think, I will start another MFH kit soon and meanwhile I may continue with the already started Alfa 2300 Roadster.
I really like to see you putting your magic onto the Matra. I skipped all of them, because I don´t like the blue tone, but the engines are lovely and I enjoyed your Matra F1 build.

I have been neglecting this, due to a new 1/16 Centurion arriving. Other matters have also taken priorities. I now needed to get this finished. I had left off a lot of the smaller parts, while manipulating it, so as not to loose them or damage them. One of the other reasons for not doing anymore on it. I dislike painting. I did need to press on.
A start was made on the anti-lazer coating on the periscopes.

Some of the inaccessible areas were brush painted.

Depending on the weather over the weekend. The main building will be finished and I will crack open the air brush.

Some useful stuff today........
First some airbrush parts from H&S. A 4ml cup and lid for the Infinity
2024 CRplus / Giraldez airbrushes. Yes, as Doc Rob said this larger cup
will work on the Giraldez.. Here it is on my H&S Giraldez Mk. II.

Also some Friulmodel tracks....
ATL-89. Sherman T-66 type
ATL-160. Mk. V (26 1/2 inch-67.31 wide track).
Meant for the Mk. V, V*,V** tanks I bought them for my Takom Mk.V.
I've been reading up on this tank lately. Interesting, especially it's post
WW I history use by both sides of Russia's civil war, Estonia, and even
WW II😀. The Takom kit has some interesting decal choices.
Lastly , a big pack of BluTack......Because, well, Why not?

Well anyway, I was able to get back home and sit at my work bench
for a bit - didn't really get anything done-but I managed to get things
organized to continue where I left off. I was glad to find the H&S parts
I needed. I now have 2 of the larger cups one to use on my Giraldez Mk II and the other on my Infinity 2024 CR plus. I should have bought the
2 in 1 version in the first place. I will now, when I can, get the larger .44
Headset to make things complete.
