Hi all, Just purchased the Aladdin Models 1/32 Avro Anson. A lot has been said on Facebook and LSP about the accuracy. I won't dwell on that too much, since this topic deals with the technical side of getting a proper and buildable print. Clear parts My biggest fear are the clear parts. I've never been able to print proper clear parts. I've tried Anycubic transparent resin with sad results. Now I tried Elegoo transparent resin. I thought it made sense since I print in an Elegoo printer now as

After finishing my Unicorn Gundam, I chose to continue with another Japanese super kit. The started log was lost in the gone forum and I will continue here. The BT52b was a successful design, winning the world championship drivers title with Nelson Piquet in 1983. It was the turbo era and the BT52b was the most powerful of all formula One cars until today and could generate up to 1500 horsepower in qualification mode. That came with a price, making the car difficult to drive with it´s turbo lag.

This was a thread on the old site before the crash. So, I bought this shirt at the EAA museum in 2024, right before NATS in Madison, WI. And I've been wearing it to shows but I don't have a P-40 on the shelf. So when Sprue had a sale a while back, I bought the Great Wall Hobbies kit. Since the shirt has && on it, I've been planning on building 77. Some of the AM that I've bought for it. And some of the progress on it. Cockpit area mostly. Ready to close up the fuselage. Added

Meng 1/48 F/A-18F Super Hornet features Gloria Model intakes, 3D-printed injection seats from Minimasonmodels on Cults3D, GBU-12 from Mr.Plamo, GBU-38 from Bluey, and AIM-9x from Model-Ma-King also Cults3D. My first Kōtare Models Supermarine Spitfire build. My local hobby store asked me to build a Spitfire as a display model for the shop. Unfortunately, the store has since closed, but the model will now be displayed at their second location on the other side of the country. What can I say about the kit? Honestly, not a bad thing. Hi all, Here's the last post on this build before the forum went down. The model has been weathered. I used Flory dark dirt and grime wash, AK Interactive Kerosene and Oil wash. Also Tamiya Weathering Master Set A and D for oil and dirt stains. The upper wing, fuselage and rudder were pre-rigged using Gaspatch 1:48th scale turnbuckles, 0.5 mm tube and 0.12 mm diameter mono-filament. Finally the upper wing was fitted and was probably the easiest wing fit I've had in 60 plus build. The elastic ban

I call the Unicorn Gundam done. It was my first venture into Gundam universe and it was quite a ride with a mix of fun and a bit of overkill. The parts count is loco, the leftover sprues should have enough plastic for a large 1/32 plane. Last steps were black panel washing and adding the numerous stickers The mobile suit is fully articulated and I added a Kosmos LED set for enhancement. Brabham BT52b - The Guided Missile - Model Factory Hiro - 1/12

I think the secret with CF is to get the scale right which Rob has. So often it looks well done but it also looks wrong because its to large a pattern. Very much like wiring and hoses. So many 1/12 kits come with 1mm tubing for plug wires which makes a 12mm plug lead which is almost twice the thickness it should be .

Added the wings and tail surfaces too.

The I got to working on and finishing the Bf109K-4 and working on the Spitfire VII.
I had to wait 'til gray paint arrived for the spitfire, so I got back to this a little.

Now the gray paint for the Spitfire has arrived, so this will sit a little longer.

I’ve put mine away for a little while, those damn hose connectors are driving me nuts - seems to be a million of them and they are such a pain to drill out. I might see if I can find some stl files for some better ones and print them out.

Brabham BT52b - The Guided Missile - Model Factory Hiro - 1/12

Great to have you here Paddy, the builds you showed are fantastic. I was with the old LSM for far more than a decade and it was my only connection to the modelling world, as I live a bit remote.
I build everything, which represents a challenge to me, plastic model kits, wooden ships, multi media kits, I need the variety.
One of my driving forces in modelling is replicating materials correctly scale wise. Therefore, the MFH kits are a pleasure to build and paint, but I also like WWI airplanes with rigging, wood, cloth and metal to render.
The loss of LSM Mark 1 to me is very painful, as I used it as a log of painting and finishing techniques I adapted or developed. I like a forum to be an exchange of how to´s, techniques and ideas and like you mentioned, to get inspiration and I´m sure with many gifted model builders like you LSM Mark 2 will be equally great.

Ok. This is annoying. For some reason Aladdin models sends you the files mirrored!! I could have known, since the Stuka engine i bought from them was mirrored too. This costs me a lot of resin… and time….

So glad to see this here. I only joined a few days ago so the website was a blank sheet. I had no idea where peoples interest lay. The more i look in the more variety i see which is great. The great thing about other peoples build blogs is they often inspire other people to try something thats new to them and probably way outside their comfort zone. I look at the above build and i can see this is a guy i can learn from, your engine looks superb :-)
