FW190- ZM A-4 and a Revell A-8

These were started a little while back. They then got lost on my bench while I worked on whatever had my fleeting attention. So, having finished the F-16 my bench is ready to get these done. The ZM kit is much further along with the cockpit done, fuselage closed up and the majority of the wings completed as well as the engine. The Revell one has the wings started, the fuselage halves together, and the engine mostly complete.

This was a thread on the old site before the crash. So, I bought this shirt at the EAA museum in 2024, right before NATS in Madison, WI. And I've been wearing it to shows but I don't have a P-40 on the shelf. So when Sprue had a sale a while back, I bought the Great Wall Hobbies kit. Since the shirt has && on it, I've been planning on building 77. Some of the AM that I've bought for it. And some of the progress on it. Cockpit area mostly. Ready to close up the fuselage. Added

Hi all, As the Sopwith 2F.1 Camel is coming to a close, I've started researching the next build. The Wingnut Wings RAF RE.8 kit. I'm planning it to be a RE.8 of the 6me Escadrille, Belgian Aviation Militaire, at Houthem-lez-Furnes airfield in 1917. I have the Pheon decal set for the RE.8 which has the Belgian markings. The Pheon colour profiles have the aircrafts colour as very dark, almost black. However, other profiles of the same squadron show the colour to be closer to the RFC PC 10 or 12 f

Hi all, Recentyl I managed to acquire a pretty rare SZ100 ammo counter. This is one that counts 100 rounds. Most you'll be able to find count 500 or 1000 rounds for the MG151 or MG FF cannon for instance. My Me262 panel requires two of these, So I measured my sample and 3D drew it in detail. The first print turned out pretty good. Only need to add the glass and the white bar inside that shows the level of remaining rounds. If anyone is interested: I'll post the 3d model in the 3d model library

I've been working on this build now for a couple of weeks and have decided it's about time to post a photo or two. The kit is a "J" but I'm going to mark it up as a "H". The main visible difference in the "J" and the "H" is the bombardier under nose glazing. I had to stick with the kit "J" piece since, as far as I've been able to determine, there is no "H" style nose piece available.

I have time now, but any physical start won't be 'til the P-40 is finished sometime after NATS. I pulled the kit from the stash several months ago, with plans to start it after the P-40. I purchased the conversion kit from B&B Resin back when Tim first released it. I've also picked up various AM sets but I'm not sure which ones I'll use. I had also picked up this resin base and I'm thinking about using it in the project. In spare moments, I've started painting the base.

AJS 7R, 350cc single cylinder race bike from around 1959. So here we have a Protar model motorcycle. Founded in 1963 in Bologna by Tarquinio Provini, a famous motorcycle Grand Prix racer , they produced a wide range of motorcycle kits of the era and later branching into GP cars. Sold out to Italeri around 1970 the history gets sketchy. The original kits were multimedia featuring white metal and plastic parts. I'm getting closer to the finish line.
First up, the Revell kit. I added the cannon barrels to the wings.

I then did the underwing antenna and DF loop.

The clipped off prop shaft was added to the back of the prop assembly.

All that's left is the pitot tube.

On the ZM one, I have to paint the landing flaps and also add the pitot tube.

A couple of rally cars came today. These were ordered from Plaza Japan.

Both are tarmac versions which is probably my preferred setup for rally cars. Although the ones with the ice spikes are pretty cool too.

The fuselage has now been closed up.
The top, front locating peg and barrel inside the cover panel for the engine cylinders is large and obvious.
Therefore, after assembly, I cut away the peg and barrel,

First from Hobby Boss their M4 High Speed Tractor 90mm
(No. 82407).

Found pre-owned but sealed, for a nice price on EBAY.
I also found the new Lanmo L6/40 (MM 35009). A nice new tooling
of this small Italian tank. I have the old Tamiya/Italeri boxing....I'll probably sell or stash that one😀

Also, the decals from Peddinghaus showed up today.
Their EP 2956 VW Kubelwagen Hans Joachim Marseile 1/16.
They look good😀

Friulmodel's updated ATL-48 track set for the Sherman T-48 type track.
These no longer use the wire to assemble. Mine came in the old-style box, but are the new type.

I also bought another set Tweezers to replace a set I wrecked trying to
remove an E-clip. These are diamond coated at the tips to improve grip.
They work well and are in a handy size. Recommended😀

Well, once again, I hope people find this posting interesting or useful.
All products mentioned, I recommend. Lately I've had an interest in
Italian armor subjects.........nice to see them getting some attention from the manufacturers. I don't plan on buying many more kits . I have
one on the way (a bucket list kit) then perhaps the New Tamiya RSO...and afterwards I will

Thanks for posting the video Kevin😀 like Martin, I also found a Tamiya
D520 after a long search . Mine was found on EBAY. The video shows a side of the war that perhaps too many are not aware of and gives some
insight into the performance of the little D520.
