FW190- ZM A-4 and a Revell A-8

These were started a little while back. They then got lost on my bench while I worked on whatever had my fleeting attention. So, having finished the F-16 my bench is ready to get these done. The ZM kit is much further along with the cockpit done, fuselage closed up and the majority of the wings completed as well as the engine. The Revell one has the wings started, the fuselage halves together, and the engine mostly complete.

So, while I wait for the rigging thread for the Gladiator to arrive (odds are it will arrive when I'm on holiday!), I thought I'd start something different. Never built a 1/16 kit before but this has been great so far. Have made a lot more progress in a couple of evenings than I expected to. Basically, all the main interior detail is prepared ready for primer. I'll need to order paint for the interior and camo but that can wait until after we're back from our break. I have been widely absent for a while for different reasons, one very obviously it is summertime, with lots of swimming, mountainbiking and doing things around the house, etc. Another reason is redecorating my workspace, selling unused woodworking machines and add desparately needed display shelves to my cave. Not so obvious, but to my own mystification, the forum situation with LSM and MSW crashed with all data and seemingly many members lost and to add to that the forming of Dry Dock Modeler

AJS 7R, 350cc single cylinder race bike from around 1959. So here we have a Protar model motorcycle. Founded in 1963 in Bologna by Tarquinio Provini, a famous motorcycle Grand Prix racer , they produced a wide range of motorcycle kits of the era and later branching into GP cars. Sold out to Italeri around 1970 the history gets sketchy. The original kits were multimedia featuring white metal and plastic parts. This was a thread on the old site before the crash. So, I bought this shirt at the EAA museum in 2024, right before NATS in Madison, WI. And I've been wearing it to shows but I don't have a P-40 on the shelf. So when Sprue had a sale a while back, I bought the Great Wall Hobbies kit. Hi all, As the Sopwith 2F.1 Camel is coming to a close, I've started researching the next build. The Wingnut Wings RAF RE.8 kit. I'm planning it to be a RE.8 of the 6me Escadrille, Belgian Aviation Militaire, at Houthem-lez-Furnes airfield in 1917. I have the Pheon decal set for the RE.8 which has the Belgian markings. The Pheon colour profiles have the aircrafts colour as very dark, almost black. However, other profiles of the same squadron show the colour to be closer to the RFC PC 10 or 12 f

Hi all, Recentyl I managed to acquire a pretty rare SZ100 ammo counter. This is one that counts 100 rounds. Most you'll be able to find count 500 or 1000 rounds for the MG151 or MG FF cannon for instance. My Me262 panel requires two of these, So I measured my sample and 3D drew it in detail. The first print turned out pretty good. Only need to add the glass and the white bar inside that shows the level of remaining rounds. If anyone is interested: I'll post the 3d model in the 3d model library

I've been working on this build now for a couple of weeks and have decided it's about time to post a photo or two. The kit is a "J" but I'm going to mark it up as a "H". The main visible difference in the "J" and the "H" is the bombardier under nose glazing. I had to stick with the kit "J" piece since, as far as I've been able to determine, there is no "H" style nose piece available.

Having looked at that amazing RC build of this kit, I decided just to paint the wiring as moulded. This is the main interior paintwork on the sidewalls and rear wall, most of which will be pretty well hidden once everything is closed up.

It's strange how plain one side is whilst the other has lots of detail but it's that way on the real thing.

Then got the sides glued onto the floor pan. Fit is very crisp and well thought through. Painting and installing the floor is next.
It's quite an imposing size once it's together like this, so the mind boggles as to the size of some of the 1/16 MBTs like the Abrams or Leopard 2

I know the feeling Carl. I get very impatient to the end of a project often. After all the hard stuff is done, it feels hard to concentrate on the finishing bits and pieces.
Your Würger couple came out fantastic , I like both finishes and take the white half as a reminder, that I have to do a winter camo one of these days.

Porsche 917K - Fujimi - 1/24

Poco a poco, I´m nearing the finish line. I added the Firestone branding onto the tyres, which proved difficult. On two tyres, I had to assemble the word letter by letter.
I spoke about how well everything fitted, but too early, the inner wheel wells wer nearly impossible to fit onto the framing. On one side, I had to cut the frame and glue it in a slightly different position.

I also added the headlights and cleaned the color borders around the lights area with a marker (the pic was taken before).

Additional, I did a bit of mini PE folding and installing. I opted for the multi piece fastenerd for the hood and also prepared the wipers, which were awful fiddly and added other bits and pieces.
