A 100 Group counter measures a/c with H2S radome, Monica antenna, Jostle antenna, chaff chutes, flame dampener exhausts, plated over ball turret area and gun restrictors on waist positions. Airfix did a nice job on this model. The provided decals are VERY good but have to be handled carefully! I painted the model with Testor's and Tamiya. with a overspray of Alclad clear flat. I worked on this model off and on for over a year so I figure it's about time to finish it! LOL I'm pleased with the way

I've been looking at the instructions and pictures of Miniart's ( aka "manypart") Lanz Bulldog in 1/24 and I need a Brass paint that's not too brassy.......more like tarnished or unpolished brass. It also needs to brush well using a paint brush and airbrush well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is to be used on various fittings and the prominent radiators on each side. Thanks; Paul.

I've been working on this one off and on for over a year. It's nearing completion now so I thought I'd post a few photos. The topside camo is on but I'm thinking I made the dark earth a little too light when I mixed it. I think I might go back and re-apply a darker shade. Then, if it looks okay, it'll be time for the black sides and undersides. 😀

My first build here :-) lets see how it goes. This is a Matra Simca F1 car from 1968. The usual mix of plastic and white metal from MFH. My first problem here is finding reference pictures because MFH has produced an MS11 chassis with a MS9 engine which is correct but nearly all surviving cars seem to have an MS12 engine as above. Anyway thats a detail but it does mean that i will have to guess some details, not least engine colour. This is a strange choice from MFH here but it should be not

These were started a little while back. They then got lost on my bench while I worked on whatever had my fleeting attention. So, having finished the F-16 my bench is ready to get these done. The ZM kit is much further along with the cockpit done, fuselage closed up and the majority of the wings completed as well as the engine. The Revell one has the wings started, the fuselage halves together, and the engine mostly complete.

As the title states. There has been a pretty big hacker attack on numerous servers based in the UK. Our forum happened to be on one of them. As were our 2 back-up servers. Last Friday we were informed by our server host that all data has been deleted by the hackers. This means: our forum website all of our topics, builds and images and all of our member details / accounts We've worked hard over the past few days and did this: We bought a new license with a better, even more secure forum host

This was a thread on the old site before the crash. So, I bought this shirt at the EAA museum in 2024, right before NATS in Madison, WI. And I've been wearing it to shows but I don't have a P-40 on the shelf. So when Sprue had a sale a while back, I bought the Great Wall Hobbies kit. Since the shirt has && on it, I've been planning on building 77. Some of the AM that I've bought for it. And some of the progress on it. Cockpit area mostly. Ready to close up the fuselage. Added

So, I thought I'd try to recreate a version of this current build. When I purchased the kit, I wanted to build an aircraft using both the pointy rudder and the extended wing tips. That is how this became a conversion to the VII. I bought the kit last fall at the IPMS Murfreesboro show. There was quite a bit of AM included in the kit box. While I was at it, I bought some additional AM. Not all of it was used. I found this book on Amazon. And I eventually decided on this specific aircraft. Th

Time to resurrect this build now the Mk-24 is complete going to be photo heavy guys and using an outside server for pics since they are stored there in order methinks should be.👍 The START of some AM🙃 The porthole were all drilled and exterior ladders installed these were 1/350 for IJN in that scale measure 24" across 18" in 1/200 and KM were narrow by pics. Well my problem is not making the mesh domes, its attaching them without seeing glue.
The kit supplied forming tool sort of works, i superglued the 2 parts of it to some parallel pliers

Them pressed the wire mesh between the two , i then used a hollow punch to stamp the bulge in the mesh out from the sheet

it works OK but there is very little to glue here to the trumpet without the glue being rather prominent

Nice work I always wanted to build a 100 Squadron B-17, I even bought the Paragon conversion for one, but it turned out to be another "not enough time" project so it never happened.
